A few updates have occurred that I'd love to bring to your attention:

  • I touched on this on the Now page—since the end of July we have moved back to Poland. I wrote more about the reasons why on my Polish blog and I also live transmitted The Big Move™ on my Mastodon. Yes, I do plan to write more about this entire endeavor... Eventually 😅
  • I have to confess: I'm a huge fan of Dave Winer's "landing page". As I have mentioned on multiple occasions, my brain works in outlines, it's the best way for me to structure and write out all of my thoughts. I wanted something similar to what Dave has, but I quickly realized it requires quite a bit of JavaScript—my goal was to have a landing page with links that could work with text/terminal browsers too. At some point I considered replicating the setup of Ruben's Omake, but it didn't resonate with me and felt a bit too much for my needs. Going with plain HTML + CSS turned out to be way more pleasant than I anticipated. It felt good to build something by hand, with just a bunch of static files and call it a day 😮‍💨 My landing page is here: chbk.me, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
  • My Micro.blog has been reactivated. I had to switch the domain name (which used to be chbk.co), but all old links should properly redirect 🤞🏻 I plan to run another one-photo-a-day experiment for a year (here's the previous take, here's the announcement of the new one). Yes, I really want to print every single photo and glue it into my journal each day. I grabbed a tiny Polaroid Hi-Print 2x3 Generation 2 printer to handle that task, and I'm unreasonably excited about it! 😄
